Loganville City Council to Discuss Mayor and Council Raises at March Meeting |
Council members will review a potential pay increase for the mayor and council during the March work session. |
The Loganville City Hall will host the March 2026 work session of the Loganville City Council at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 4303 Lawrenceville Road.
During the work session, council members are scheduled to discuss several agenda items, including the possibility of raising compensation for the mayor and city council members.
The councilβs voting session will take place at the same time and location on Thursday, March 12. Residents are invited to attend either or both meetings in person.
For those unable to attend, the meeting will also be streamed live on YouTube.

The Facilities Committee will review multiple public safety and park improvement projects. Proposals include:
The estimated project cost is $188,463, including a 10% contingency, funded through Walton County and Gwinnett County Public Safety SPLOST funds.
Council members will also consider bids to renovate Loganvilleβs Toddler Park to meet ADA accessibility standards, with a project estimate of $715,065, including a 5% contingency. Funding sources include SPLOST funds, a $40,000 Walton County Health Foundation grant, and the cityβs general fund.

Public Comment and Meeting Details
Residents who wish to speak during the meeting may do so during the public comment period, which allows five minutes per speaker unless additional time is granted by the mayor. Speakers must approach the podium and state their name and address for the record.
The council may also enter executive session as needed in compliance with Georgia law.

Loganville, GA After months of anticipation from local residents, the opening date for Loganvilleβs new Whataburger has officially been announced. The Texas-based burger chain will celebrate the grand opening of its Loganville restaurant on Monday, March 23, 2026, at its new location at 4764 Atlanta Highway.
Grand Opening Celebration Planned
The opening day will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m., marking the official introduction of Whataburger to the Loganville community. Following the ceremony, the restaurant will open its doors to customers at 11:00 a.m.
The event will include several opening-day festivities designed to welcome the community. A DJ will provide music on the restaurantβs patio, and fans of the brand will also have the chance to meet Whataguy, the companyβs well-known mascot.
Chance to Win Free Whataburger for a Year
Early risers will also have a chance to win a popular grand opening prize. The first 50 guests in line between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. will receive free Whataburger for a year, a promotion the chain frequently offers when opening new locations.
Participants must be present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony to claim the prize, and the promotion is limited to one winner per family. Long-Awaited Opening for Loganville
