Loganville’s Quality Inn at 4023 Atlanta Highway has been officially closed and condemned following enforcement actions by both the Loganville Fire Marshal’s Office and Code Enforcement.
The building was declared unfit for human habitation or commercial use as of November 11, 2025, making occupancy illegal and subject to criminal penalties.
City notices cite noncompliance with safety codes, risks to public health, and evidence of drug-related crimes.
Long-standing complaints from residents included concerns about cleanliness, safety, and ongoing criminal activity.
The city requires the property to remain vacant and secured until all violations are remedied and multiple inspections completed.
No plans have been announced for redevelopment or demolition, leaving the hotel's future uncertain.
This closure highlights larger regional challenges as many older highway hotels face mounting safety and maintenance issues.
The building remains off-limits under city order. Read More... |
LOGANVILLE — The Loganville Rotary Club is strengthening its commitment to childhood literacy through the annual Loganville Rotary Gives Books initiative, which delivers free books to every first-grader in local elementary schools.
This year’s program reached children at Sharon, Bay Creek, and Loganville Elementary, ensuring hundreds of students took home a book to keep.
Rotary members launched the project not only to provide special holiday gifts, but to address a deeper issue—many kids simply lack access to books at home.
Volunteers work closely with schools to select engaging, age-appropriate titles, aiming to foster a joy of reading and boost early literacy skills.
Club leaders say the initiative supports learning beyond the classroom and reflects Rotary’s broader mission of service in Loganville.
They hope every donated book helps spark confidence and bright futures for young readers in the community. Read More... |
