Pamendi’s Italian Grill, a local favorite in Loganville, is entering a new era with longtime resident Jay Bateman as its new owner.
Bateman, who has lived in the community for 20 years and has a deep connection to Pamendi’s since its founding in 2014, brings decades of restaurant experience to his new role.
He recognizes recent challenges but is determined to restore Pamendi’s as a spot locals can enjoy without traveling far.
With a focus on quality, consistency, and community, the restaurant is returning to its roots, serving scratch-made Italian classics—lasagna, manicotti, and chicken parmesan—alongside Greek specialties and beloved starters like fried mushrooms and calamari.
From cozy dinners to family gatherings, Bateman promises Pamendi’s will once again be a place Loganville can take pride in.

Walton County Chief Appraiser Tommy Knight is defending his office after a recent City of Monroe survey suggested property values are being mishandled or skewed.
Knight, who has overseen appraisals for over a decade with a record praised by state audits, criticized the survey as anecdotal and not rooted in factual data.
He stressed that commercial properties, like Walmart and chain restaurants, may seem undervalued due to a lack of sales data and because only land and buildings—not intangible business value—can be appraised.
Addressing social media rumors, Knight rejected claims of favoritism, especially towards County Chairman David Thompson, explaining that criticized properties have minimal buildable value.
Monroe Mayor John Howard and City Manager Logan Propes defended the survey, stating undervaluations cost the city tax revenues and shift burdens onto homeowners.
Both sides have agreed to meet soon to discuss concerns and find common ground. Read More... |
