"The preservation of the sacred fire of liberty... is finally staked on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people." |
Fourth of July celebrations bring joy to many families, but the holiday’s fireworks and festivities can create serious stress for dogs.
Loud noises and bright displays often trigger anxiety, leading to a sharp rise in lost pets as frightened dogs run from yards or homes.
Experts urge owners to keep pets indoors before fireworks begin, ensuring all doors, gates, and windows are secure.
Create a quiet, safe retreat with familiar items and soothing background sound.
Exercise pets earlier in the day and avoid leaving them alone if fireworks cause distress.
Never bring dogs to fireworks shows, and always double-check that identification tags and microchips are current.
Talk to your veterinarian if your pet has severe anxiety—medication or calming products may help.
Preparation and vigilance can help ensure a safe, happy holiday for everyone. Read More... |

đź’ˇ Answer to Trivia Question: Button Gwinnett. He was one of Georgia's three signers of the Declaration of Independence, along with Lyman Hall and George Walton. His signature is also one of the rarest and most valuable among the 56 signers because of his short political career and early death. |
