Loganville is celebrating as hometown star Phil Mafah scored his first NFL touchdown in his professional debut with the Dallas Cowboys.
Mafah, a former Grayson High and Clemson standout, powered into the end zone on a one-yard run against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium, cutting Dallas’ deficit to 24–17 early in the fourth quarter.
The rookie’s touchdown was a personal bright spot, even as the Cowboys ultimately fell 34–17.
Returning from a shoulder injury that sidelined him since August, Mafah made an immediate mark after being activated from injured reserve earlier in the week.
He finished with five carries for 18 yards and the score, building on a preseason where he tallied 59 yards and another touchdown.
For Loganville and local football fans, Mafah’s resilience and achievement are a proud reminder of local talent thriving on the national stage. Read More... |
