Loganville and nearby communities are bracing for a winter storm expected to arrive late Friday, bringing both accumulating snow and dangerously cold temperatures through the weekend.
The National Weather Service warns that even small snow totals could quickly make local roads hazardous, particularly on bridges and untreated streets.
Strong winds may worsen conditions, dropping wind chills well below freezing.
Residents should prepare for overnight temperatures in the single digits, raising the risk of frostbite and hypothermia for those outdoors—especially children, seniors, and the vulnerable.
Locals are asked to check on neighbors, bring pets inside, and take steps to protect their homes from freezing pipes.
If travel is necessary, use extreme caution and allow extra time, especially after dark.
Stay alert for weather updates and look out for one another as the community faces this cold blast together. Read More... |
