Kimberly Whaley, a beloved 62-year-old CVS pharmacy technician, was fatally shot outside her workplace on Atlanta Highway in Loganville on November 14, 2025, mere minutes after leaving home.

Her husband, Owen Whaley, has been left in shock and frustration, as the investigation continues with no arrest.

Police reported she was killed next to her vehicle before entering the store, with witnesses noting a silver Chrysler 300 fleeing the scene.

No robbery occurred, and a previous person of interest was released without charges.

Residents and loved ones are outraged over the lack of updates and the absence of parking lot cameras at the time.

Whaley’s family continues to press for justice, transparency, and answers, as community concern and heartbreak intensify months after the tragedy.

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for much of the area, with some regions possibly seeing over an inch of ice—especially in northeast Georgia.

Governor Brian Kemp has declared a State of Emergency and mobilized National Guard troops, urging caution and preparation.

Colleges, including Spelman and Clark Atlanta, are closing campuses, while schools monitor conditions for possible delays.
