Loganville Man Charged in Shooting Incident on Big Sam Circle
By Ray Lane, Loganville Pulse Staff Writer

Loganville, GA - A 74-year-old Loganville resident has been charged following a shooting incident that left a woman critically injured. The event occurred on June 29, 2025, at 401 Big Sam Circle.

Loganville Police Chief Dick Lowry reported that officers responded to a shooting call and discovered a female victim with a gunshot wound. She was transported to Piedmont Walton Hospital in critical condition.

The suspect, identified as George R. Armstrong, was taken into custody without incident. Armstrong faces several felony charges, including Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.

This incident adds to a series of recent violent events in the Loganville area. In March 2025, a 17-year-old Loganville resident was arrested and charged with murder following a double shooting that resulted in one death and another injury. Additionally, in April 2025, a 22-year-old Loganville man was fatally shot in Snellville, with the suspect still at large.

The Loganville community has been actively seeking solutions to address the rise in gun-related incidents. Local authorities have been working to implement measures aimed at reducing violence and ensuring public safety.

As the investigation into the Big Sam Circle shooting continues, police urge anyone with information to come forward to assist in ensuring justice and enhancing community safety.

Truett’s Chick-fil-A in Grayson Opens to Massive Crowds—and It Was Worth Every Minute
By Ray Lane, Loganville Pulse Staff Writer

Loganville, GA - It’s official: Truett’s Chick-fil-A has arrived in Grayson—and it made one heck of an entrance.

We were there for the grand opening today, and let us tell you: if you didn’t have to fight your way through the crowd, were you even at Truett’s? From the moment we pulled into the jam-packed parking lot, it was clear the Grayson community had been counting down to this day.

But the wait, the line, the tightly packed crowd just trying to squeeze in the front doors—it was all absolutely worth it.

🍗 So What Is a Truett’s Chick-fil-A?

For those unfamiliar, Truett’s Chick-fil-A is not your typical drive-thru-only, grab-it-and-go experience. It’s a full-service, sit-down restaurant built in honor of Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy, offering an expanded menu and a warm, Southern-style dining atmosphere.

You’ll find some menu items you can’t get at standard Chick-fil-A locations—like Sweet Potato Soufflé, Southern-style Green Beans, Fried Okra, and even Chicken Pot Pie. It’s a place where you can bring the family, sit down, and enjoy a homestyle meal with that same Chick-fil-A excellence you know and love.

But don’t worry: if all you really want is your classic nuggets, waffle fries, and mac & cheese, they’ve got you covered—and then some.

😍 Our Experience: Overcrowded, Overwhelming—and Over-the-Top Good

Yes, the crowd was massive. And yes, the line wrapped halfway through the building. But from the moment we walked through the doors, the Truett’s team didn’t miss a beat.

We were welcomed with smiles, directed quickly to where we needed to go, and even had friendly employees checking on us while we waited. Once we placed our order—chicken nuggets, golden waffle fries, and creamy mac & cheese—we grabbed a seat and watched the controlled chaos unfold around us.

And then came the food.

🍴 The Food? Outstanding.

Let’s start with the basics. The chicken nuggets were hot, perfectly seasoned, and crisp on the outside with that tender bite you expect. The fries? Freshly made, salted just right, and straight from the fryer. But the real star of the plate might’ve been that rich, baked mac & cheese—bubbling and cheesy with the perfect balance of creamy and crunchy on top.

Everything was served quickly, despite the crowd, and each member of the staff was polite, calm, and genuinely happy to be there—which made the whole experience even better.
