In a quiet but powerful gesture toward unity and hope, the Loganville Rotary Club will install Loganville's first Peace Pole at Destination Park this Saturday, April 5th at 8:30 AM. The Peace Pole, part of the internationally recognized Peace Pole Project, will be a permanent reminder of Loganville’s commitment to fostering peace and goodwill in the community and beyond. It will display the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in multiple languages, symbolizing a shared desire for global harmony. Originating in Japan in 1955, Peace Poles have since been planted in nearly every country in the world—at schools, parks, places of worship, and public spaces—as beacons of hope and reminders of our shared humanity. Each one is unique in the languages it bears, often reflecting the diversity and spirit of the community in which it stands. The new Peace Pole at Destination Park will be more than just a monument—it will be a gathering point for reflection, connection, and community events centered around kindness, inclusivity, and dialogue. Residents are invited to attend the installation ceremony on Saturday morning, where the Loganville Rotary Club will take a moment to mark this peaceful milestone together. As Loganville continues to grow and evolve, this Peace Pole will serve as a meaningful symbol of the values that bind us—compassion, unity, and the hope for a more peaceful world. ✌️ Event Details: Let’s come together to plant peace and grow community. |
