LOGANVILLE, GA — Kimberly Loveless Whaley, 62, of Loganville, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Born on February 16, 1963, Kimberly lived a life defined by warmth, generosity, and a steadfast commitment to caring for others.
Kimberly’s gentle spirit touched everyone she met. She cherished spending time with her spouse of 18 years, sharing simple, meaningful moments—whether enjoying college football together or trying out new recipes at home. These everyday joys reflected the heart of who she was: someone who found beauty in connection, comfort, and the people she loved most.
For years, Kimberly served the community as a devoted employee at CVS, where she took great pride in helping patients who came through the drive-thru. Her compassion extended well beyond her daily responsibilities; she believed deeply in supporting those less fortunate and always looked for ways to make a positive difference in someone’s day.
Her passion for others also inspired a strong emotional engagement with politics. Kimberly cared deeply about social issues and held a sincere hope for meaningful change and a better future for all. Her belief in fairness, dignity, and compassion shaped both her worldview and her relationships.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents, Lorraine and Michael Loveless, and by her son, Thomas C. Shaffer. She is survived by her loving partner and spouse, Owen (Renita) Whaley; her cherished grandson, Liam Shaffer; sisters-in-law, Leisa Allen (Ben), Joan Massey Dollar, and Jean Wilkerson; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 1215 Access Road in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Kimberly’s generous spirit, unwavering dedication, and profound kindness will be remembered always by those fortunate enough to have known her. |
