LOGANVILLE — Northside Hospital has begun construction on a new medical office building along Atlanta Highway, marking a major expansion of healthcare services in Loganville and Walton County.
The project, known as Northside Medical Loganville, is being developed at 4500 Atlanta Highway and will consist of a two-story, 40,000-square-foot facility designed to house a range of outpatient medical services. Planned offerings include imaging, cardiology, primary care, OB-GYN, and general surgery, along with other Northside-affiliated medical practices.
Northside Hospital is partnering with a private developer on the project, who will own the building once completed.
“This groundbreaking represents an important step in Northside Hospital’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality healthcare close to where people live and work,” said Charlie Dickhaus, senior vice president of Realty Trust Group and director of real estate for Northside. “Access to modern medical facilities plays a key role in building healthier communities.”
Dickhaus added that the organization is pleased to be investing in the Loganville area.
Site preparation is currently underway, with vertical construction scheduled to begin in January 2026. The new medical office building is expected to open to patients in November 2026.
Debbie Bilbro, president and CEO of Northside Hospital Gwinnett/Duluth, said the project reflects Northside’s broader strategy to expand ambulatory care services throughout the region.
“We are excited to bring additional outpatient services to the Loganville community,” Bilbro said. “This new facility will provide residents with convenient access to primary care and a rotating group of key specialists focused on meeting the healthcare needs of the community.”
The Loganville project is part of Northside Hospital’s continued growth across metro Atlanta. In recent years, the health system has opened new medical office buildings in Buford and Snellville. Construction is also ongoing on an 11-story patient tower at Northside Hospital Gwinnett’s campus in Lawrenceville. That expansion will add 200 beds, making it the largest hospital in the Northside system, with completion expected in late 2025. |
