LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (Loganville News) — Police in Lawrenceville have located a vehicle linked to the Loganville CVS shooting after tracking it through the city’s FLOCK camera system Friday afternoon.
According to the Lawrenceville Police Department, officers received a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) alert from Loganville authorities around 4:00 p.m. with a description and tag number of a vehicle tied to the earlier shooting at the CVS on Highway 78.
Within a short time, FLOCK cameras detected the vehicle entering the Lawrenceville city limits. Officers quickly responded and located it on West Crogan Street near Culver Street. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was taken into custody without incident. Police say the suspect and vehicle are now being turned over to the Loganville Police Department as part of the ongoing investigation into the shooting that left one person critically injured.
Lawrenceville officials praised their officers’ quick response and coordination with neighboring agencies, saying their actions helped bring a tense situation to a safe and orderly conclusion.
This remains a developing story, and more details will be released as they become available. |
