A 74-year-old Loganville resident has been charged following a shooting incident that left a woman critically injured. The event occurred on June 29, 2025, at 401 Big Sam Circle.
Loganville Police Chief Dick Lowry reported that officers responded to a shooting call and discovered a female victim with a gunshot wound. She was transported to Piedmont Walton Hospital in critical condition.
The suspect, identified as George R. Armstrong, was taken into custody without incident. Armstrong faces several felony charges, including Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. |

In March 2025, a 17-year-old Loganville resident was arrested and charged with murder following a double shooting that resulted in one death and another injury.
