Loganville, GA — August 20, 2025 — The qualifying period for Loganville’s upcoming municipal election has officially closed, setting the stage for a competitive race this fall. Two candidates have qualified to run for mayor, while five candidates will be on the ballot for three at-large city council seats.
With Mayor Skip Baliles choosing not to seek re-election, the race for Loganville’s next mayor will be between Councilman Branden Whitfield and John Soesbe.
For the three open city council positions, the following candidates have qualified:
Councilwoman Anne Huntsinger opted not to run for another term, while Councilman Branden Whitfield vacated his seat to enter the mayor’s race.
Key Election Dates
All registered Walton County voters will cast ballots at their regular county precincts. Gwinnett County residents within Loganville will vote at the Rock Gym/Ag Building, 135 Main Street, Loganville, GA 30052.
