Loganville City Hall is filled with holiday color, creativity, and community spirit as the annual Festival of Trees returns, offering residents a festive display with a meaningful mission behind it.

The festival features a wide variety of Christmas trees, each decorated by local businesses, civic organizations, churches, and community clubs from across the Loganville area. Every tree reflects the unique personality and creativity of its sponsoring group, with themes ranging from traditional holiday décor to imaginative and colorful designs.

While the decorated trees create a welcoming seasonal atmosphere inside City Hall, the purpose of the festival extends well beyond decoration. The Festival of Trees is designed as a food drive with a competitive twist, encouraging residents to give back to the community while participating in a fun holiday tradition.

Instead of casting a paper ballot, visitors are asked to vote for their favorite tree by placing non-perishable food items beneath it. Each food item counts as a vote, allowing participants to support both their favorite display and a local cause at the same time. The tree that collects the most donated items earns bragging rights as the community favorite.

All food items collected during the festival will be donated to Shepherd’s Staff, a Loganville-area ministry that provides assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity and other challenges. The donations help stock food supplies during the holiday season, a time when the need for assistance often increases.

City officials and organizers say the festival highlights the strength of partnerships between the city, local organizations, and residents. Businesses and clubs contribute time, decorations, and creativity, while community members contribute food that directly supports neighbors in need.

The Festival of Trees also provides an opportunity for residents to visit City Hall, enjoy the holiday displays, and engage with the community in a simple but impactful way. Families, employees, and visitors are encouraged to take their time viewing the trees and to bring multiple food items to support Shepherd’s Staff.

Non-perishable items such as canned goods, boxed meals, pasta, rice, and other pantry staples are accepted. All donations remain local, ensuring that contributions made through the festival directly benefit people in the Loganville area.

The Festival of Trees will remain on display at Loganville City Hall throughout the holiday season, giving residents ample opportunity to participate. By combining creativity, friendly competition, and charitable giving, the event continues to grow as a seasonal tradition that reflects the generosity and unity of the Loganville community.
