Loganville, GA — August 20, 2025 — Local businessman and community leader Branden Whitfield has officially announced his candidacy for Mayor of Loganville. A third-generation Loganville native, Whitfield says his vision is to preserve the city’s small-town feel while building a future that strengthens safety, infrastructure, and community connections.
Whitfield, who owns a business on Main Street, lives in Loganville with his wife and their two young daughters, ages 7 and 3. “I want to keep Loganville a loving, safe, and fun community that they would be proud to call home,” he said in his campaign announcement.
A graduate of Kennesaw State University with a degree in business administration, Whitfield has a long history of civic service. He has served four years on the Loganville City Council, previously sat on the Loganville Development Authority, and is a board member of both the Loganville Legacy Lions Club and the Northeast Georgia Council for Scouting. An Eagle Scout himself, Whitfield says those values of service and leadership continue to guide him today.
Through the Georgia Municipal Association and Georgia Downtown Association, he has also completed extensive training in city governance and downtown development. “I believe this comprehensive understanding of how cities operate and grow appropriately, alongside my desire to seek out and help solve the needs of locals, makes me uniquely qualified to get started on day one without a learning curve,” he explained.
Priorities for Loganville
Whitfield’s platform centers on:
Grassroots Initiatives
In addition to long-term goals, Whitfield proposes several smaller projects designed to immediately boost community pride and involvement:
“These little initiatives seem small, but their impact would be profound on our connections to our community and each other, leading to big positive changes for Loganville’s future,” Whitfield said.
Looking AheadWhitfield encourages residents to reach out directly with questions and ideas, and says his campaign website—launching soon—will provide more details on his platform, positions, and plans for the city.
“With togetherness, we all succeed,” he added. “Win With Whitfield.” |
