Groovin' on the Green Returns Friday with a Night of '90s Hits and Community Fun |
Loganville's popular summer concert series continues to bring neighbors together on the Town Green |

One of Loganville's favorite summer traditions returns this Friday evening as Groovin' on the Green welcomes residents back to the Town Green for another free night of live music, food, and community fellowship.
The July concert will feature Atlanta's own After School Special, a high-energy band known for bringing the biggest hits of the 1990s to life. The free concert begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 17, at the Loganville Town Green, located at 235 Main Street.
Whether you're a fan of Green Day, Third Eye Blind, Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox Twenty, No Doubt, or dozens of other iconic artists from the decade, the evening promises a soundtrack that will have many in the audience singing along from the first song to the last.
While the music is certainly the main attraction, Groovin' on the Green has become much more than a concert series. Since its inception, it has grown into one of Loganville's signature community events, creating a place where families, friends, and neighbors can slow down for an evening and simply enjoy being together.
On concert nights, the Town Green transforms into the community's backyard. Lawn chairs and blankets begin filling the park well before showtime as families enjoy picnics, children play, and friends reconnect before the music begins. Others choose to grab dinner from local restaurants or food vendors before settling in for an evening under the summer sky.
Events like Groovin' on the Green have helped strengthen downtown Loganville by giving residents another reason to gather in the heart of the city. Local businesses often see increased traffic on concert nights as visitors shop, dine, and spend time downtown before and after the performances.
The concert series has also showcased an impressive variety of musical styles throughout the summer. This year's lineup has included G Clef & The Playlist in May and Bumpin' The Mango in June, with Journey tribute band Departure scheduled for August and R&B Inc. closing out the season in September.
That variety has become one of the series' greatest strengths. Rather than focusing on a single genre, Groovin' on the Green offers something for everyone throughout the summer, introducing audiences to everything from beach music and classic rock to R&B and nostalgic '90s favorites.
As Loganville continues to grow, events like Groovin' on the Green remind residents that some of the city's greatest strengths aren't found in new buildings or developments, but in opportunities to come together as a community.
Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of live music in the heart of downtown Loganville. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday on the Loganville Town Green.
With beautiful summer weather expected and another outstanding band taking the stage, Friday night is shaping up to be another memorable evening for one of Loganville's most beloved community traditions. |
