LOGANVILLE, GA — One of Loganville’s most anticipated annual events is back this Saturday as the 11th Annual Loganville Rotary Wing Fling takes over the Loganville Town Green from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Loganville.
For more than a decade, the Loganville Rotary Club has brought together restaurants, chefs, local businesses, backyard grill masters, churches, and community organizations for a friendly — and delicious — competition to determine who makes the best chicken wings in the area.
What started as a local community fundraiser has grown into one of Loganville’s signature spring events, drawing crowds from across Walton and Gwinnett counties for an afternoon packed with food, entertainment, family activities, and community spirit.
At the heart of the event is the wing competition itself, where contestants spend hours preparing their secret recipes, rubs, sauces, smoking techniques, and cooking styles in hopes of taking home bragging rights and the title of Wing Fling champion.
And unlike many food competitions, the public gets to decide the winners.
For $20, attendees become official judges, receiving wing samples from contestants and casting votes for their favorites. Every bite helps support important causes throughout the local community.
More Than Just Wings
While the wings are the star attraction, the Wing Fling has become a full-scale community festival with activities for all ages.
This year’s event includes:
Visitors can expect everything from spicy buffalo wings to sweet and smoky barbecue flavors, dry rub specialties, unique homemade sauces, and creative twists from both professional and amateur cooks.
In addition to the food competition, the Town Green will be filled with vendors featuring home services, baked goods, crafts, artisan products, local businesses, and community organizations.
Supporting Local Charities
One of the biggest reasons the event continues to grow each year is the impact it has on the local community.
All proceeds from the Loganville Rotary Wing Fling benefit local charitable initiatives and service projects. Funds raised help support causes including:
The Loganville Rotary Club has long been known for its hands-on community involvement, and the Wing Fling has become one of its largest annual fundraising efforts.
Meet This Year’s Wing Contestants
This year’s lineup features a mix of returning favorites and new challengers competing for wing supremacy:
Attendees will also have opportunities to vote for additional “Other” contestants during the event.
A Loganville Tradition
After 11 years, the Wing Fling has become more than just a food event — it’s now part of Loganville’s community identity.
Families gather on the Town Green, local businesses connect with residents, competitors show off their culinary creativity, and the community comes together for a fun day that directly benefits local causes.
Whether you are coming for the wings, the music, the contests, or simply to enjoy a Saturday in downtown Loganville, the 11th Annual Loganville Rotary Wing Fling promises something for everyone.
